Sometimes in the midst of this crazy thing we call life, we need to remind ourselves that it’s okay to give ourselves a break. And no, I don’t mean just dropping all responsibilities for yourself, but, rather, giving yourself a nice breather because such pressures in life can really build up after a while. That’s what I’ve been feeling lately–a (bearable) yet albeit tireless weight of all the pressures that come with entering the professional postgrad working world, the pressures to look “perfect” on camera, etc. I’ve become a pretty strong person in terms of enduring pressure, but even Superman had his own flaws and moments of weakness, right? I think what’s most important is knowing that the true challenge is working past these weaknesses to be the best version of yourself that you can be.

Sounds easier said than done! That’s why I don’t want to look back on my life when I’m 70 and think that I worked so hard through all the ups and downs my whole life just to realize that I didn’t stop to enjoy it as well. So don’t cheat yourself on life! Reward yourself every once in a while for all your hard work in life, and you won’t regret it.

This is why I’ve been thinking going off-the-grid for a bit as part of my postgrad plans. I’ll update with more details once it’s become finalized, but, for now, just know that this is something I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time now, and I can’t wait to share this journey with the rest of you. Of course, it’ll make for some really interesting blog posts and shoots wherever I end up going, so stay tuned for that!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. 2016 here we come! 🙂
